No NSAIDs post-op?

Hi all. I’m almost 4 weeks post-op and was told by my surgeon that I shouldn’t take NSAIDs for 3 months post surgery because “it can delay healing.” Well I’m prone to migraines and have had a relentless headache for the past week, so I finally caved and took Excedrin after Tylenol was not even touching the pain. And what do you know? My post-op nerve inflammation disappeared immediately (along with my headache 🤣)

My question is: has anyone else been told they shouldn’t take NSAIDs post surgery? If so, why not and how would it affect healing? I could understand for maybe a couple weeks because of increased risk of bleeding, but I’m almost a month removed from surgery. I felt too good after taking aspirin and am sad at the thought that I can’t take it again.
