I'm scared for Metroid Prime 4

Back in the day, Prime 2's release date was around the same time as Half-Life 2 and Halo 2. This resulted in Prime 2 being the title that sold the least of the trilogy .

Prime 3 released the same month as Halo 3, which was so hyped that GameFAQs needed megathreads months before it came out.

And this year, Doom: The Dark Ages is coming out and Halo according to a fairly reliable leaker it will be announced for the Nintendo Switch 2, and we know it can't compete with those two in terms of popularity.

Also, Nintendo has this tendency to release Metroid games at the worst possible time, like(in addition to the other times already mentioned) when they released Federation Force at a time when fans were waiting for a worthy Metroid after Other M, and as a result, this okay spinoff sold about 4,000 copies in Japan. Or when they released Samus Returns on 3DS after the Nintendo Switch had already come out.
