Lack of services on weekends

Just wanted to comment on the lack of services on weekends. I very rarely take PT on weekends but I happen to be in the city now on a saturday morning and am trying to get home to SE suburbs. I went to Melbourne Central to catch the Pakenham line - no trains running. So I thought I'd take the Belgrave line to Richmond and catch a Frankston train there - no trains running. My only option is to wait 10 minutes for the next Craigieburn running to Flinders Street. The PID says "Flinders st trains depart from platform 1" but when I go to platform 1 it is a Mernda train not stopping at Flinders st. So only 2 lines are running through Melbourne Central at the moment with terrible frequencies and misinformation on the PIDs.

This is just wild to me as I don't think I have ever had to wait 10 minutes for a train at Melbourne Central in my life 😂. Super crazy how different it is to take PT on weekdays vs weekends
