syphilis update

first post: im so sick of syphilis (vent)

We've had two more patients show up for syphilis treatments that ended up being negative.

one of our providers was able to finally get ahold of the clinic these patients were referred from. turns out, the doc they had seen was sending prescriptions of bicillin to the pharmacy and its too expensive for the patients to pay out of pocket. since they're not citizens yet they dont have insurance and couldn't receive treatment. so they would come to planned parenthood for treatment bc we have grants that cover the cost.

our provider told the clinic they need to send records home with the patients even if its just an after visit summary so that way we know what's going on when they come in. apparently the lady she spoke to was like "ohhh we never thought of that" 🤦‍♀️

however, this still doesn't explain why they are being told they have syphilis when our tests show they're negative.
