My MUA botched my engagement shoot makeup and I had to fix it myself in the car.

I kind of just need to vent lol. The first pic is fresh out of the makeup chair. You can see how upset I am lol. I told her I had dry skin and suggested some base products that I knew were good, but she said she knew better and put some other brand on. I think she used it because it was expensive, not because it matched my skin. She didn’t set it with powder, so it caked and creased pretty badly. For the eyes I told her I wanted a soft smoked out wing in dark brown and false lashes. She told me I would look like a clown in false lashes and that she was going to give me blue eyeliner because that’s “red carpet”. I said I didn’t want blue and I just wanted a neutral wing. She got mad and said it’s a basic look and she doesn’t know how to do Smokey eyeliner, so I said a small wing was fine. She got so frustrated that she had to get someone else to do the wing. When she came back she asked if I wanted blush and I said I wanted something soft and a mauve lip color. She gave me bright pink blush and an even brighter lipstick, but refused to let me look in the mirror until it was done (she was frustrated with me telling her what to do).

I was SO upset but I was late to meet the photographer, so I ended up running to Sephora and grabbing a few products to touch up in the car on the way to shoot. 2/3 pic is from the engagement shoot. I think I was able to soften things up nicely, but the professional lighting probably helped too. 😅
