how do you improve as Lidia?

I started to play Lidia ever since she got released and I am having a blast, honestly. I managed to get her to Battle Ruler pretty effortlessly and for some reason can't get to Fujin. As far as I understood, she is about whether you are going to do a linear move (ff2, wr1, b1, etc.) or a homing move (qcf4, b4, db3 etc.) and a timing thing regarding linear moves. A lot of people are doing sidestep button to counter my approach and I find it difficult to adapt sometimes. When I decide to do a homing move, it often times is too short (db3, b4) or is high crushed (qcf4, b4). Reason, why I whiff is because I am afraid of running in too deeply and get hit for no reason and this gets me most of the time. Sometimes I manage to catch my opponent on delayed timing with a linear move, but it is very hard to adapt to the timing of each opponent in ft2. Have any of y'all got any tips on overcoming that barrier?

P.S. I am a Kishin Lars player, so if there are any examples you can provide using Lars, that would he awesome, thanks in advance :)

P.P.S. I al aware of the concept of dash blocking and shimming and I try my very best to implement this knowledge to practice, but sometimes I feel like my timing is still predictible and if there is a drill of some sort to improve on that as well, I would like to know about it as well :)
