Hello! I’m the person that normally posts the show list for the month, and I have noticed a lot of people asking about events where they can meet other people or just generally how to make friends. I personally have met a lot of my friends through going to DIY shows, but I know that’s not for everyone! Here’s some more low key / artsy events happening soon. As always, feel free to add your own!
Prompt Roulette: A Writing Workshop

Y’all Draw: A monthly drawing meetup

Movie Night and Pop Culture Themed Poetry

Read and Sip Brunch

Bring your book or buy a new (or used!) one from Set & Setting’s bookstore popup at Trouble Bar. There will be treats by Tastee Treats, ice cream from local artisan ice cream maker Retta’s Scoops, homemade jewelry by Sunbind and drip coffee from Trouble Bar all day! Perfect little place to curl up with a book and some coffee and maybe meet another booky person.

Free event! Bring in plants you don’t want anymore or don’t have time to take care of, or plants you have propagated with no place for. Trade them in for other plants, leave them there for other people, have a chat with other plant lovers! There will be tons of free cuttings to take home :)

Hot Girl Craft Club
This one is less specific because I don’t know what events are sold out currently, but Hot Girl Craft Club is a regular craft club meet up for femme people in their 20s. They have done things like charm necklace workshops, tote decorating, zine workshops. They have an upcoming Halloween costume party, as well.
