What do you think is the most slow-paced mundane film every commercially released?
I just watched 'Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles' and it got me thinking, is this the most extreme example of a slow-paced film featuring banal mundane everyday activities, like literally hours of the film are the main character cleaning, and making the bed, and cooking food, etc? I wonder are there even more extreme examples of this, in a commercially released film (commercially released meaning, for example, that the likes of Andy Warhol's experimental films where nothing happens don't count, such as Sleep, 6 hours of a man sleeping).
And please don't take this as me criticising the film Jeanne Dielman, I think even those that love it would agree it is very slow-paced and full of long takes of very mundane everyday activities.
