Failed but the test itself was such a good experience!!
Yesterday was my first attempt, I have done around 40 hours of lessons with my instructor to date, and a few hours with my partner. I was very nervous yesterday, my Fitbit app shows I’ve done 20+ mins of cardio, my pulse was 130-140 during my test 😂 anyway! I had failed each mock prior to the actual test, but I thought I’d chance it anyway. I got fewer minors yesterday than during mocks with the instructor, and overall, yesterday was overall a positive experience.
What I have learned from yesterdays test: - have confidence in your abilities - the more you check your mirrors, throughout the drive, the better, not only when manoeuvring - come out of the first gear as soon as you can (I got the eco driving comment there, there were a couple of roundabouts where I left still in first) - road markings!!! This is where I failed and the examiner took action, I wasn’t looking properly at the lanes and tried to leave a spiral roundabout but didn’t switch to the left soon enough - do not worry about people tooting at you AT ALL. You’re doing your best - the examiner said to me he wasn’t looking for perfection, as long as i drove safely and legally
I’ve rebooked for 19/04 and hope to come back to this community with a positive result. And if I don’t, this means I’m not ready and I can try again :) good luck to everyone else!
