DVSA are taking the piss - summer changes to the driving test
Just got an email from DVSA about a consultation they ran last year.
The new measures to be introduced are designed to better prepare learners for the driving test which will benefit those who are ready to take their test and reduce waiting times for car tests.
The latest data shows that 52.2% of learner drivers are failing their driving test and having to book another test.
So what are those new measures, you may ask?
The measures being introduce include:
extending the period that those who fail their car test have to wait before booking another test from 10 to 28 days
extending the notice period during which a cancelled car test will result in a lost fee, from 3 to 10 days
That'll definitely help with the nerves, seeing as tests are STILL having to be booked months in advance. Thanks DVSA.
