Aloha good people of lava lamps!
Brand new member here, I had no idea lava lamps with such a thing lol so a minute ago I had a craving for a lava lamp never owned one before. Got one for 25 bucks in Walmart then never managed to turn it on because the lightbulb was broken, I can’t remember How it got broken anyway it sat on my shelf for 1 million years before. I finally got some new lightbulbs. I turned it on expecting things things didn’t happen. I have no idea how long I waited again knowing zero about how our lamps actually work then cause half the wax was Stuck up at the top. I thought maybe if I shook it a little bit it might help I know I know I know now that you are not supposed to shake the lava lamp! Lucky it was cold when I did it and I didn’t really shake it much. Just kind of more gave it a bit of a wiggle anyhow, I’ve left it on probably at least Overnight and at one point some little globals fell from the top bit into the bottom bit, but really nothing seems to be happening and I am wondering how long I should wait before declaring said lava lamp. A dot thought you folks could help. I have to say I am also unlikely to mess around with the liquid seeing as it wasn’t terribly expensive and right now I just want a working lava lamp thanks in advance Wolfe. I’m too tired to now write a TLDR but well if it’s really boring and too much lol
