Why do people demand/expect accurate dinosaurs in these fictional movies? It doesn’t really make sense
Hi.
Hope you’re doing well.
Whether it’s been Alan Grant or Dr. Henry Wu explicitly saying it or it’s shown in other ways in these movies, it’s been made clear several times that these are essentially theme park monsters and they filled the gaps in their DNA by inserting the DNA from frogs in the original movie.
I understand there are purists who would prefer them to be more closer to what scientific discoveries show, but whenever I visit subs like this it seems like most people complain whenever a dinosaur doesn’t look or behave in a way that goes along with all the findings.
I’m just happy we get to see T. rex, raptors, spinosaurs, triceratops, sauropods even look remotely similar to what they’re meant to be depicting. Whether the horn on the Allosaurus has the right circumference or if it’s in the right place or Spinosaurus’ neck is practically nonexistent doesn’t really concern me.
What are your thoughts on dinosaur accuracy in these movies?
