I've just hit gold and games are miserable

I climbed out of bronze and silver playing amumu and now thay I've hit gold and players have such ego people are running it down surprisingly more in gold then the lower ranks I thought climbing would make games easier and better it just made them more miserable should I start playing carry champs now because I've plateaued
