How did Mahoraga re-appear here?

Hi all, just a bit confused after this fight. When Sukuna uses Malevolent Shrine, the first hit instantly obliterates Mahoraga into blood. But then a couple of shots later, we see him walking through the slashes completely reformed. How did he come back after the initial hit?
