What does Sukuna's Cursed Fingers truly grant him?
- I'm not gonna make this a post saying whatever I think is objectively true but giving my insight as to why I believe what I do with evidence. And I want to have your take on the matter as well so please don't feel scared to comment, me in a couple of people have been trying to figure this out for months.
- Hearing someone else's thoughts that might give us hints, clues, or something, in general, to work with is something I very much appreciate, I like when you guys are more active and talkative in the comments but with that being said enough talking time to dive into the discussion of the post.
Cursed Object: Ryomen Sukuna's Fingers
- During the Heian era, one-thousand years ago in the current timeline, the King of Curses Ryomen Sukuna sealed twenty of his Fingers into Curse Objects all with the Curse Energy amount of a Special Grades.
- A big misconception is that Sukuna was defeated which is why he opted to sealing himself but this does not really make sense whatsoever. From what we know, us (the readers) and the characters in the series have already seen the most powerful Sorcerers throughout all ages in history which I will name some.
- Hajime Kashimo, Yorozu, Uraume, Ishigori Ryu, Dhruv Lakdawalla, Takako Uro, etc. These are all people that gave the Heavy Hitters or the upper echelon of characters a difficult time in fights and a good portion of these Jujutsu Sorcerers are famous in with feats they have nothing proving they defeated the King of Curses so it's likely he just willingly did it to get a crack at a better more refined generation.
- Going back to the topic at hand, eating one of the Fingers can grant the user Curse Energy increasing their strength however this mainly applies to Sukuna himself and Curse Spirits, not Yuji Itadori or other Jujutsu Sorcerers as neither of them retained the King's Curse Energy which would have been useful.
- The Finger Bearer used this method of devouring the Finger which made the Curse Spirit a Special Grade.
- Now that we have a brief analysis of what the Fingers do, let's go into how this affects Sukuna himself.
Power given from Fingers
- This sounds simple, right? More Curse Energy would simply mean Sukuna is getting stronger right? Well while diving into the series nothing supplements this notion at all, to be honest. People will be quick to note the first fight with Satoru Gojo the strongest Sorcerer of the modern era but ignore the context.
- People typically use this to say that Satoru perception blitzed Sukuna which isn't what happened, he used teleportation which is instantaneous movement and neither of them would scale to it themself.
- On top of all of this, Sukuna off-guard took little damage from Satoru's strike which damaged other characters like Jogo, Uraume, Kinji Hakari, Yuta Okkotsu, etc. Special Grade threats, all of them.
- In again another argument is that Satoru was likely holding back which alright sure you can have that but now you have to prove and substantiate to what degree is he actually holding back? How can you gauge his power in comparison to later portions within the series or through other characters?
- And what makes this fight extremely hard to use viably is that it was six seconds in length. No way we ever truly compare in-use measures for power with a fight in which both combatants did not go all out in nor had the time to really show off whatever they had to offer, thus I believe this isn't useable.
- Next is the Jogo statement where Satoru states that the Curse Spirit is probably stronger than Sukuna and also isn't something you can concretely use as when taking into the context of the statement he literally has seen nothing from Jogo truly, all the Curse Spirit did was struck the ground below and launched a blast. He can be referring to Curse Energy reserves and output which makes sense.
- What makes this hard to use also is the fact Satoru said probably meaning he himself doesn't even truly know which means that he is making a baseless assumption, in Jogo having more Curse Energy and output isn't outrageous as he likely does just simply with later feats within the series.

- Something I wanna briefly tackle is a recent statement people have been passing around like wild-fire that says Gege Akutami gave Sukuna ten additional Fingers because he wanted the gap between Jogo in Sukuna to be vast and that Jogo was the only one at the time who could attempt fighting Sukuna.
- Guys and gals, did we just not read or watch the Shibuya Incident? Like Obviously Jogo is the only one who could contend with Sukuna during that time so let's go over all the other characters to see where they stand. Yuta Okkotsu, Yuki Tsukumo, and Satoru weren't present whatsoever during Shibuya.
- Miguel is somewhere in Narnia, Choso is not on Sukuna or Jogo's level, Mahito also isn't and is still young and needs to progress for the story plot (Kenjaku/Yuji Itadori), Kinji Hakari doesn't like Jujutsu High, Dagon is also a victim, and Kenjaku/Uraume are literally on Sukuna's side they're not fighting him.
- If there was anyone I did not name I didn't for a reason it's because they're victims and would get rag dolled (Not including Suguru Geto and Toji Zenin as they're dead), so this doesn't mean he would defeat Sukuna with five Fingers at all but if you mind proving he can and that I'm wrong I would love to see it.
- Moving on nothing indicates that Sukuna is really getting stronger justifiably so far. This kind of makes sense when you see how he has a farce with the Finger Bearer which is faster than Hanami in I know Jogo is faster but shouldn't be insanely above Hanami in terms of velocity which means one or two things.
- Sukuna is physically faster than or they're relative, I'll go with faster personally as nothing in the series proves that Jogo is blitzing Hanami at all even with the Naobito Zenin statement I doubt it. The reason I say the Finger Bearer is faster is due to the performance against Yuji, Maki, and Megumi
- Sukuna is a perception blitz above the Finger Bearer, in the Curse Spirit is a blitz above Yuji who physically scales relative to Maki and Megumi around this duration of the series and Hanami was kind of struggling to take them out and also people say they're were working together...and?
- I don't see the difference that makes because regardless if they're that much slower than Hanami even with that being said they would be taken out individually rather quickly and also Yuji and Aoi Todo does the same thing in she precisely react, counter, and attack them (stronger combatants by the way).
- In terms of velocity and reactions (2/3 Finger - Yuji) Sukuna > Finger Bearer > Hanami ~ Aoi/Yuji > Megumi, Maki, and (No Curse Energy) Yuji which I'll explain why this speed chain is important during the next post. Yeah, I know leaving off on a cliffhanger how cliche of me, on a serious note though.
