How do you verse-equalize Jacob’s ladder

When people want to compare a JJK character to a character from another show, they often treat the other show character as being able to see and react to cursed energy (see curses, exorcise curses). With this in mind, would it be fair to say that JL can shut down another characters power from another show? For example, if shoto from MHA is fighting hanami, people would say that shotos fire could hurt hanami, so would yuta using JL on shotos fire destroy it/prevent him from using it (maybe like when aizawa uses erasure)?
