Why didn't Israel give the Golan Heights to Syria like it did the Sinai to Egypt?

After the camp david accords Israel gave back the Sinai peninsula to Egypt in exchange for Egypt recognizing Israel, why didn't same happen for Syria and the Golan Heights?
