How do you guys “salt” unofficially?

Just to be clear!!! I’m using salt here incorrectly. I do not mean you should salt without your halll’s permission, nor that I have done so myself.

What I mean is advancing the cause and public perception of the IBEW to both non-union electricians and laymen in an informal setting. Especially to people who may not have a positive outlook on the union.

Please, this thread is not intended to get into political bashing. Nor is it helpful to suggest cutting them out immediately because they don’t like unions. What I want is helpful hints or experiences bringing more support to the IBEW from people who dislike unions, or are on the fence. What has worked for you? What has not? Do you feel it was a good use of your time and/or effort? Thanks, brothers.
