The Roly Poly method for earthquakes
Hi guys! Hope everyone is doing ok after yesterday’s earthquake and tsunami warning.
A few months ago, I came across a video from Japan that talked about what to do if you are not near a stable object to get under during an earthquake.
This method was inspired by Dangomushi, rollypolly, pill bug, ect. Get on all fours, then put your hands behind your neck, your elbows and knees support you by going with the shaking.
REMINDER: Do NOT try to run outside, stand in between a door way, get out of bed. Most injuries are caused by people falling, getting their hands smashed by doors, and walking on broken glass. If you are in bed, use a pillow to protect your head and neck. If you try to run outside, hazards such as falling debris and downed wires are a potential threat. Desks, chairs, tables are your best friend.
