After sex clean up

Growing up, sex was never a topic in my house, so I’m not really sure what’s normal for people to do after having sex. I feel kind of ridiculous for even asking, but I just don’t know what is reality versus tv/smutty book expectations

My husband and I have been married for 11 years and we’ve got two kids together and have always used condoms unless we were actively trying to get pregnant. He got a vasectomy after our second kid was born which gives us the green light to have sex without condoms and/or birth control. Yay!

The problem? What the heck do you all do with the freaking sperm that is just sitting in there, dripping and leaking into your undies afterwards? I feel like I’m a toddler who needs a diaper, or like I should be carrying an extra pair of panties around with me everywhere!

Do people really shower after doing the deed every time? I’m terrified of getting BV again and taking the shower head to clean things out sounds like a great way to get BV. I do have wet wipes and try to get as much out as possible while I pee after sex, but there is always leftover man juices that tend to drip for the next day or so.

So Reddit, what’s your answer? Please, I’m dying to know what real people do when they’ve got a bunch of sperm in their vag and how you get it out without causing some major chemical changes.

TLDR: how do you clean out man juices from your hooha without causing issues for PH balance?
