Don't Lie To Me

I deliberately crafted the title of this post to be eye-catching, aiming to garner as many responses as possible from individuals here while contemplating a decision. I've conducted thorough research and educated myself about the virus. However, I'm seeking perspectives from individuals who live with it. (I also live it; I suspect I have HSV1 because I frequently get nasal cold sores, but my recent HSV test came back negative for both strains).

That said, with utmost respect and humility, my question for HSV2+ folks is: Given your knowledge and feelings about the stigma, prodrome, flair-ups, tingling, etc., and assuming you are currently negative, would you consider dating, engaging in regular intercourse, and potentially marrying a significant other who carries HSV2, knowing there's a risk of infection? Even while acknowledging that the relationship might not last as long as desired.

Thank you as I await your responses.
