Too many 15 Items or Less lines

I just came from the Braker-Research store. They have two islands of self check registers, and several 10 - 15 item lanes. I only saw one normal lane open, before I was flagged over to a 15 lane. The guy who flagged me was middle aged- as am I - and the cashier was a trainee. I told him that they shouldn’t have so many limited lanes when they have so many self checks. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn’t aware of how condescending his backtalk was. I didn’t raise my voice or cuss or make a scene, but it was the middle of the day and he was acting like I should be grateful that he let me in his 15 lane - which btw was empty because there were so many of them open, while the baskets were three deep at the one open lane! I’m not doing it anymore. I’m getting in the shortest lane no matter what sign they have on. It’s so stupid.
