Pre-meal insulin tips?
I'm starting pre-dinner insulin tonight before dinner (so far have only used long-acting overnight). Just looking for tips and experiences, since my Dr was clear that this hits different than the NPH does. Did you eat more carbs the first time you took it for example? Or just ate your regular dinner and hope the dose is small enough to not send you hypoglycemic? I'm starting at 10 units, which I believe is a very small dose (I'm 5'0" and about 140lbs right now at 32w5d). My after dinner numbers this week have been in the high 120s - 130s with one in the 160s.
