Spotify and voice prompts are ruining my runs!

I have my fenix 7 pro solar configured to give me voice prompts every kilometer on the distance and pace. In the background I have Spotify running on my phone. Every time the prompt comes on, it is fighting with Spotify. Half a second each, and never progressing or finishing. I have to kill Spotify (I can't even pause it manually) as it keeps flicking between pause and unpause before the prompt will finish.

Any solutions anyone is aware of?
