Overgrown roses, unkempt bushes, moss and clover in the lawn - we love our garden but I lack the knowledge and vision to maintain it.
Please can I get some advice of what I need to do here? The grass is full of moss (which I don't like and would like to get rid of. 2 seasons of spring scarifying and additional iron sulphate last year has done diddly - though I may have made the mixture too strong?); there are large patches of clover (Weedol lawn weed killer killed some it, where the lighter patches of grass are, but it remains in other places); I was quoted £800(!) to trim the apple trees and others by an arborists type person who knocked on the door.
We moved in 2 years ago and I rake out the borders each spring and cut the grass as needed but I really need some guidance from someone who has the vision and knowledge for gardening, please!
