Fic idea, would it work?

It would be wrong to write an entire fic about finding Karlach's heart and defeating Zariel, only for Gale to pull out the scroll of true res that never got used (because I used a normal scroll) and go 'actually, I'd forgotten about this, this should work...' But also, very Gale I think...

For non-D&D fans, it doesn't require a body to work and restores lost body parts... so maybe if the fic is the gang without Karlach as she's had her 'good' ending...

I'm not sure if that would work or be corny or cheesy?

Option a) with Karlach, but after defeating Zariel they can't figure out how to put her heart back.

Or b) without Karlach, and they get her heart but can't resurrect her and/or Zariel refuses to...

BTW, a good portion of Bloodweave will be in it...
