Trouble passing GED math

So I passed the other three subjects with no issue, but I can’t even get a 140 on the math practice test.. I just don’t understand math at all. I had no prior education so the skills weren’t necessarily instilled in me from a young age like most. Any tips on what to do to get me where I need to be? TIA!
