How do players with average aim reach higher ranks like Elite and Champion, while some players with epic aim are stuck at lower ranks like Silver? (Zero Build ) .

I have noticed something strange in Fortnite that I can't quite figure out. Every time I get killed by someone, I can see their stats because i have an app that shows me this , things like their KD, win percentage, and highest rank reached. What I find odd is that I have seen players with average aim who have reached Elite or even Champion rank, while others with amazing aim are stuck in lower ranks like Silver.

How is this possible? Does rank not always reflect a player's skill in aim, or is there something else at play here that I'm missing? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

And its kinda weird that almost everyone has pretty good aim from far away but most players are average with shotguns from close. For me its more difficult to have stable aim from far away , from close with shotgun its way easier.
