What is your risk reward ratio?

I used to make have a balance of lose and win but after watching a few guru, all said must have at least 1:2 and have more loss is okay as the profit one will cover all. I tried and lost and cannot recoup back… should I listen to them!? They keep saying it’s for long term benefit..
