What causes the contradictory opinions of misogynists?

Women are often told that if they don’t take precautions, it’s their fault if something happens, as in, "Men are driven by their desires, so if you wear a mini skirt, it’s only natural to get filmed without your consent," or "Going into a male-dominated space alone is like entering a war zone."

Yet, when women do take precautions, they face accusations of "male discrimination!" or "Don’t treat men as criminals just because they’re men!"

Why do they express such contradictory opinions?
