7 yo just diagnosed and feeling overwhelmed

Just looking for some reassurance/moral support. My 7 year old boy just got diagnosed. We have 4 cats in total and love them dearly but we did just welcome our first baby in the fall. I’m already feeling very overwhelmed balancing life with a new baby and now this news has me spiraling. How hard is it (in your personal experience) to manage this condition? We’ve elected to do the insulin injections but I feel like this is so much to take on
