Best pools in NYC? What's the pool at Hudson Yards and Greenwich Ave like?

I am considering taking out a membership, mainly to use the pools. I swim laps but I also like to chill a bit (not necessarily to socialize, just to relax). Does anyone have recommendations for which pool is best? And what can I expect in terms of crowding at Hudson Yards, Greenwich, or any other one you might recommend? Which are the best times to go if there is crowding?

FWIW I'll be living in the LES and working on the UWS.
