I know this is simple but how do you think this thread painting has been done? Are the leaves first shaded in green and then colours over the top? Or are double colour threads used (one of each)? Perhaps it's just standard thread painting and I'm overthinking it? I'm using DMC stranded thread but this sample uses wool or something like that, I think, so the results are different. Any suggestions how to tackle this.
