Lance or Pike?

Hello fellow tarnished

I am considering a spear only play thru. I did some research and found out that lance and pike have identical stat requirements.

I don't have much experience with either weapon. Can someone with better knowledge enlighten me which one should I consider being my main weapon? I only played with pike once before and I don't quite like its upward thrust R2.

(And recommend me some best fit AoW for spears plz. im lookong for a fun AoW that is NOT impaling thrust)
