Rodinal drawbacks?

As I start planning my home darkroom post school, looking at preferred developers and rodinal seems to have a lot of fans for its huge shelf-life and cost effectiveness but what’s the drawback! I’ve heard that it comes out more grainy but as I mostly shoot 120/4x5 I’m not too worried about it (unless I should be?) currently the only film I’ve deved w is marathon because that’s what my professor buys in bulk for his class :)

Edit: THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE RESPONSES! Very thoughtful and respectful I appreciate it :)
