What's the point of distraction?

What's the point of distraction? Dandys World is a Survival-Esque game so why is distraction in every run I'm in? It's not really survival anymore if someone is hogging monsters the whole run, Then peple get yelled at for "Using distractor Toons but not distracting" in runs, Why?
