26 y/o looking to get first credit card and has student loans

Im 26 years old looking to get my first credit card. I honestly know nothing about credit cards and have no idea where to start. Kinda embarrassed.... I have an "Okay" paying job and student loans as well. I have done research and get super overwhelmed.

Any advice on what credit card to apply for the first time? which is best? tips and tricks?
