Having back pain HELP 😔

I'm taking 900mg of gabapentin a day and it's not helping my back pain like I am needing it to. It's lower back pain. Would I need to maybe ask my Dr for pregabalin or Lyrica? I heard there good but I don't know?? I go in 3 days to my Dr so any advice would be helpful. Thank you 🙏❤️
