The citadelle des morts boss is making me rage

Just need to vent and get my blood pressure down. For the past THREE WEEKS!! I’ve been attempting the CDM Easter egg getting to the boss fight constantly every fucking time getting the boss into phase 3 and then down and die to some bull shit. Fire from his previous fireball, a gast needle attack or a zombie that just freaken appears from the ground blocking me.

It dosent matter how much I practice it doesn’t matter how prepared i am i always fucking die in the second phase. I’ve done everything I know how. I’ve tried doing the parry and hit strat but internet is just shit enough to not properly register my swings fast enough. I’ve tried keeping my distance with a powerful fully upgraded gun, i tried having my little brother keep Agro parrying constantly while I lay into him. Still dosent work. I’ve even did a Hail Mary of high rounding to get dark flare to do crazy damage still dosent work.

I don’t know why I’m so shit at this boss. Like i defeated patient 13 in 2 tries and it just seems impossible.

Not to mention it takes at least 40 minutes on a good run for an average player to get back to the boss fight. It’s flat demoralizing getting 1-3 attempts in a day and then poof there goes 4 hours of wasted time. I’ve literally done a full prestige worth of leveling attempting this boss only
