Fangs of fortune- mostly rave
Things I Loved:
Aesthetic Design:
- Demon Hunting Bureau: The unique "building within a building" design, with its swinging walls and the amazing "city in a pond," created a memorable and immersive set.
- Costumes: ZYZ and ZYC’s outfits were exquisite, with intricate beadwork, sparkling details, and rich textures that elevated their characters' presence.

Seamless Wire Work:
Unlike previous dramasI've seen before, where people look like they are pulled up by their pants, the wire work here felt mistly smooth and fluid, adding grace to the action scenes.Emotional Resonance:
Ying Lei’s and even surprisingly Jiu’s deaths stood out for their raw, human emotions. Instead of clichéd bravery, ying lei expressed relatable fear ( "i want to stay, I'm afraid") and reluctance, which hit harder than expected.Plot Twists:
I know this drama gets rants on its plot but i like the twists. They were subtly foreshadowed without being overly obvious, without spoon-feeding.Villains as Masterminds:
They had contingency plans on top of contingency plans ha 😅. They were surprisingly the mary sues of the drama.ZYZ’s Aura:
Amazing great demon aura! His "strut and stare" confrontation with ZYC after escaping prison - chefs kiss!Dream vs. Reality Ambiguity:
The constant question of whether events were real or a dream added a layer of intrigue and kept you guessing.
Things I Liked Less:
Excessive Whispering:
Too many quiet, whispered heart-to-heart moments dragged the pacing.Forced Emotion:
Overuse of the "single man tear" trope felt melodramatic and less impactful.Loss of ZYZ’s Aura:
At times, his intimidating presence slipped into a more vulnerable "young puppy" demeanor, which felt inconsistent for his age.Timeline Confusion:
ZYZ's grey hair and youthful appearance just eight years ago raised questions about his age and the timeline. Maybe I missed something but he lost the will to live only 8 years prior?Rushed Redemption:
LI Lun’s sudden concern for Jiu’s survival felt unearned, especially without significant build-up.Villain Inaction:
villains stood idly by while the heroes discussed plans, transferred power, or prepared counterattacks.Anticlimactic Ending:
ZYZ’s death scene lacked emotional payoff.
