Can you guys fact check if my substitute teacher is telling the truth

So for one period this substitute ma'am came and was blabbing about the boards like the first page how you should write but after that she said that if you want to get full marks you have to write more points than the marks designated for it. For example if it's a 2 mark question you write 4 points,3 mark 6 points so on. Is this true I only write the amount of points for the marks given and had no problem. Any help is appreciated
