What is MUN at school level in India

I'm a humanities student in class 11 in Delhi public school. Our school is organising MUN and I have got no idea about what it is. If there's anyone who knows what's MUN and how to research and stuff for that please tell me. Edit 1: my school is also asking 3k as registration fee, so is it worth it? Should I participate in MUN or not?
