A Lot of You Might Not Wanna Hear This

CAT ISN'T FOR YOU DESPITE SCORING 99.6%ILE BECAUSE THE GAME IS RIGGED AGAINST YOU

What do I mean by that? Here are a few points 1. You cannot outwork bad academics 2. Your certificates during the gap means absolutely nothing if you cannot back it up with some sort of growth which can be measured (got a new job because of the course/certificate, grew my YouTube, LinkedIN etc.) 3. You are competing in a game played by many (now I know the majority of the exam takers are not serious but the serious ones are also a pretty big chunk). 4. And please, for the love of God, just because you've given N number of exams at this point and you get pressurised to choose a sub-par college, DON'T DO IT. You're much smarter and wiser than this! 5. This exam is especially hard if you're a GEM despite an excellent score. Accept it and stop crying about the fact that others are prioritised despite sub-par overall performance. You cannot change that.

I'm not discouraging you to skip CAT, I'm just saying that please don't leave your job and prepare for this, especially if CAT is your only option to a great career. It pains my heart to see people with such exceptional scores and them not getting a decent college. And to the ones who have scored exceptionally well, try giving GMAT as well if you are willing to move outside of India (there are exceptional colleges like HEC, Bocconi etc.). I love you all. You all are exceptional beings with untapped gifts and talent. And remember, a single exam doesn't define your self worth.
