Its time to move on...
With the announcement of CAT and XAT results, I’ve noticed many aspirants expressing disappointment and frustration over their scores and PI calls. As someone who belongs to the GEM category, I have scored 94 percentile in CAT and 91 percentile in XAT this year, both on my third attempt. After three years of dedicating myself to these exams and facing the ups and downs that come with them, I’ve finally decided to move on.
I have no plans to reappear for these exams again, as the process has been emotionally and mentally draining. Instead, I’ve chosen to focus on my current job and upskill myself to grow in my career. I know that it might take me a bit longer to reach there, where my friends pursuing MBA from Tier 1 B-Schools will be, but I’m okay with that. I believe that success is not guaranteed by an MBA alone, and there are multiple paths to achieving one’s goals.
For anyone feeling demotivated right now, I encourage you to take a step back and reevaluate whether reattempting these exams aligns with your long-term goals. Entrance exams have become the focal point of our lives, but it’s important to remember that they are not the only way forward. There are countless opportunities and alternative paths to success.
Wishing all of you the best, no matter which path you choose!
