Is it too late?

What kind of logistical nightmare would I face if I were to buy tickets this coming week and leave on August 26th or 27th? I had all but given up on going and then read that there are still tickets available.

It would be me and my wife and we've never gone before. Excluding the tickets and parking pass, our budget is around $4,000. Sorry for any faux pas.
