Swept Away - Last Preview

I see the reviews here are mixed but personally, my companion and I both loved it! We had first row mezzanine seats, which I think may have been more effective vantage-point-wise than if we had been in the orchestra. Direction, choreography and of course, music, all on point! The ensemble was excellent, John Gallagher, Jr. was great, and Adrian Blake Enscoe was absolutely outstanding! He is bound to be a very recognizable name in the not-too-distant future. Loved the bare bones set as well, which was creatively utilized to its fullest capacity! I can see how this might not be for everyone, but again, we LOVED it. We met a couple from Turkey experiencing Broadway for the first time, who asked if this a typical experience. We resoundingly said, "NO!" Opens tomorrow, will be very curious to see the reviews.
