It's finally happened. We're being evicted.

Moved my family into my folk's attached ADU this summer to help them out after my grandpa passed and to save some money. They are Orange Goblin cult members and live in a very red part of the state. After all the executive order BS started I became active in a local progressives subreddit. My folks figured out that I was part of this, text me that this was a direct attack on them, and that my family and I need to move out ASAP. No discussion. I'm so bummed. But also relieved. I have always felt that they hated me and have never had any interest in my child. I had been debating going no contact with them after we move out and this confirms for me that is the right choice. We are leaving this area ASAP. Stay safe. Stay strong, y'all. Find your people.

ETA: thank you for the suggestions regarding eviction notices, court documents, etc. My anxiety is too high and I'm too tired to be petty. We're leaving when we find a place. Idgaf what their timeline expectations are, I'm not moving us into a shelter or living in the car due to their "allegiance". We came here out of charity and if they want to fuss about it I'll give them a copy of the laws.
