Question about Owlbear Cub

So I've played to most of Act 1 now and am at Auntie Ethel's Lair now.
It's my first time being this far and I know you can get the Owlbear Cub.
It's mother is dead and I spoke to the Goblins at the camp till they let me have the cub.
I also spoke to the Cub till the Dialog said something about it coming to my camp.
I did the Raid where Minthara attacks the Grove. I did that immediatly after the Goblins let me have the Cub.
I also went back to the camp with everybody being now hostile and the cub wasn't there.
Since then I did about 10 long rests maybe even more.
Some had Story cutscenes when going to sleep but there where multiple nights with no events.
I play as The Dark Urge if that changes anything.
