What makes Shadowheart so popular?

I don't know much about her yet but she seems among the most popular companions in the fandom, if the game reached a broader audience I think she could be as popular as Ciri or other female characters in big video games. But in the small fandom we have a lot of people seem to appreciate her, is it just because she is pretty or is there more to it?
