What class should I play for a 2nd playthrough?

I really REALLY enjoyed roleplaying and fighting with Paladin and would love to go again but my DM is pushing me to play another class and I feel like I should but nothing fits me. I still want to play a moral character but no sure what class. I love close quarters but Im willing to give magic a try
